40 Years old and still going strong...

Allander Gymnastics Club was established in 1977.

The club enjoyed one of the best facilities in the West of Scotland as they had a permanent set up until the Sports Centre was refurbished in 2000. Unfortunately, the equipment was damaged in storage and the club had to start again with a strip of mats and a vault. But many years later, the club has women’s 4 piece apparatus, which is now a set up and put away (with the help of Centre staff) and we are working our way towards having the men’s 6 piece full apparatus and are beginning to re-establish ourselves in the Scottish competition world again.
